Chris Ngimbi becomes new middleweight champ

The African Warrior Chris Ngimbi entered in the ring smiling for his Superkombat main-event at Polyvalent Sports Hall in Iasi, Romania, and he scored a big win, by Unanimous Decision, against Amansio Paraschiv, to win the Superkombat middleweight championship.

Ngimbi became the third Superkombat middleweight title holder in history after legends Albert Kraus (2011-2012) and Mike Zambidis (2013-2015). "Was a big fight and for me is like a dream. It's my fourth time when I win a world title, but this one is special. Can't wait for my next challenge", said Ngimbi.

In the co-main event of the night, in front of a sold out arena, the local hero of Iasi, Sebastian Cozmanca (4W, 1 KO -3L -0D) produced the surprise of the night, scoring a Unanimous Decision against David Trallero (17, 13 - 1 - 0), who previously defeated Jorge Loren in their home country Spain. The Columbian champion Diego Mosquera (18W, 8 KO - 0L) suffered the first loss of his career in Iasi against "The Sheperd" Bogdan Nastase (10W, 2 KO - 2L).

In the New Heroes Series, Răzvan Țîru (2W, 2 KO-0-0), member of Superkombat Academy project, scored another impressive win, this time against Nicolai Buceac (8W, 3 KO - 4L - 1D). Also, Daniel Stefanovski (6W, 3KO - 1L) Knocked-Out Ionut Sandur (7W, 5KO - 4L) in the last round after the Romanian fighter won first two rounds.

The big final of the year will take place on November 12 in Constanta, Romania, and will schedule a 8 man tournament, one night, at the middleweight division.
