Superkombat returns to Mamaia on July 30th with Morosanu vs Aygun as main-event

Superkombat Fighting Championship board announced today it will stage its third World Grand Prix of thie year at Idu Tenis Arena from Mamaia, Constanta, Romania. Superkombat Mamaia will mark the fifth Superkombat card in the most popular resort of the Black Sea since 2014. The event will be broadcasted live by Sport.ro, Fight Box and Eurosport.

And this time the fight card of the night its a special one. And of course from the card will not miss the most famous fighter of Romania, Catalin Morosanu, who will face the undefeated Turkish Murat Aygun (7-0-0), trained by the K-1 legend Peter Aerts. For Morosanu its the fourth Turkish opponent and till now scored only wins (Erhan Deniz, Musap Gulsari and Yuksel Aydin). „Im hungry and Murat cant escape from me. I know he is trained by Aerts, but when the fight starts, in the ring is alone against me, I will be monster without mercy!”, said Morosanu.

In the co main-event o the night, the Romanian former boxer Alexandru Negrea, who recently defeated the legend Melvin Manhoef, will face the winner of Superkombat WGP 2014 tournament Dawid Kasperski in a title eliminatory fight at the light heavyweight plus division. Negrea called himself Volcano has a 3-2-0 record in Superkombat while Kasperski, a former world amateur champion, is 3-1-0.

The event which will take place in one of the most beautiful locations from Mamaia, Idu Tenis Arena, will host also two rematches. First between Sebastian Cozmâncă and Clyde Brunswijk. In their previous battle, Clyde won by Split Decision. Now, both of them promise a clear win.

In the second grudge match of this action packed event, the New Heroes middleweight champion Amansio Paraschiv will face again the Bulgarian Rangel Ivanov. In 2014, in the same Black Sea resort, Amansio defeated Ivanov by Unanimous Decision.

Superkombat returns on June 25th with the New Heroes world title on the line

The Superkombat New Heroes Series returns on June 25th, 2016, live from Olympic Ice Skatink Rink, Brasov, Romania, on Fight Box HD ( http://fightbox.com/ ). As well as the New Heroes fighters that are currently proving themselves in this division, we will be adding the winners from the Tryouts that took place on the 7th May in Bucharest.

In the main event of the night, the teammate of Catalin Morosanu, Danut Hurduc (3-1-0 in Superkombat) will face Clyde Brunswijk of Suriname, undefeated in Superkombat with a 4-0-0 record, for the New Heroes Cruiserweight title. This fight will be a vendeta for Hurduc after Brunswijk defeated two of his colleagues, Daniel Alexandru and Sebastian Cozmanca.

Also, on the card has been added the currently Superkombat New Heroes middleweight champion, Amansio \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"The Viking\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" Paraschiv, who will fight in the co-main event of the night the representative of Morocco, Anouar Lahmaj.

The night will schedule also a confrontation between Romania and Greece with 4 super-fights, but also eliminatory fights with Romanian newcomers.

This is the first event of the summer which will be followed by two Superkombat World Grand Prix, the first on 30th July 2016 with Catalin Morosanu as the mainevent and the second on 6th August 2016 with the retirement fight of the Romanian combat sports legend Ionut Iftimoaie.

The Tryouts that took place in Bucharest, were the first of a series of events that will be taking place all over Europe. Superkombat is dedicated to finding the best up and coming fighters and we have found no better way than getting on the road and finding them.

Starting in Romania over the next few months, we will then be going further afield into Europe. We will be preparing a plan which we will send to all of you to ensure you can train and be ready for what could be the best opportunity you will have to be part of the New Heroes Series.

New world champ crowned after Superkombat Bucharest

Cesar Almeida launched himself into European kickboxing market and Light Heavyweight Plus world title after a huge success against Moises Baute of Spain last Saturday in Bucharest, Romania, in the main-event of the Superkombat World Grand Prix II, broadcasted live by Eurosport and Fight Box.

With former three times K-1 champion Remy Bonjasky and Gumball 3.000 pilots in the crowd, Almeida was patient, precise and mature in his combination of shots and for all three rounds he dominated Baute, a former Cruiserweight WGP winner and Super Cruiserweight official challenger.

In the thriller of the night, Stauros Exakoustidis defeated Cristian Spetcu by Unanimous Decision. After he was counted twice in the first two rounds, Spetcu returned into the fight and he was near for a historical success. Imediatly after the fight, Superkombat president, Eduard Irimia, announced that a rematch can be seen again this year.

The next Superkombat WGP event of the year is set up for June 25th,

Superkombat WGP Expo on May 7th and Grand Opening for the Superkombat Academy

Superkombat presents the World Grand Prix Expo on Saturday 7th May, live from Bucharest. The 12 bout main card is yet again full of big names and big hitters. The first 5 fights will be dedicated to the New Heroes Series live on Fight Box at 19:00 CET. Live on Eurosport at 21:00 CET, will be the World Grand Prix, with the Superkombat world title – Light Heavyweight Plus belt (-86kg) on the line, as the main event.

For the title, Cesar Almeida from Brazil is taking on Moises Baute from Spain, in what is going to be an explosive and powerful match-up. They are both training hard and in great shape to claim the belt.

Another exciting fight that we are looking forward to is between Stauros Exakoustidis of Greece and Cristian Spetcu of Romania. Check out the latest news on the Superkombat Fighting Championship Facebook page.

Amansio Paraschiv who is the New Heroes Middleweight Champion will now be fighting on the main card, live on Eurosport, and he will face the former title challenger Cristian Milea in a super fight. . The New Heroes Series is the feeder category for the SK World Grand Prix. The chance for up and coming fighters to prove themselves on the global stage and the opportunity to fight against the top names in the sport.

The legendary three times K-1 World Champion, Remy Bonjasky, is in Bucharest on 6th May at 18:00 CEST to inaugurate the first Superkombat Academy. Located on Pantelimon Highway, this three storey, 1200 square metre gym will give selected fighters the accessibility to “the best training equipment, top training partners and nutrition recommendation, to take athletes to the next level of their performance” said Superkombat President, Eduard Irimia. “We are also working with partners in Europe and America to clone this concept and ensure Superkombat is nurturing the current and future stars of the sport”

At the launch of the Academy, Bonjasky will also present his latest Signature Series range of products. Special promotions will allow people to purchase a Remy Bonjasky T-shirt and a ticket for the Superkombat World Grand Prix for 50€. He will also have his Signature Series gloves, which will come with a ticket for the event, at a price of 100€.

Expo

The World Grand Prix Expo has been created to offer the opportunity to the kickboxing world to get a better understanding of the Superkombat strategy and direction for the future. Having been at the forefront of the sport for so many years, the franchise is now taking the next step into becoming the global leader in kickboxing. The expo will have on show all the developments that Superkombat has been working on behind the scenes over the past 6 months. In the evening, Bonjasky, the fighters, together with the promoter Eduard Irimia will be attending the star studded Gumball 3000 party taking place at the Player Club. This exclusive event, the conclusion of the 3000 mile race which started in Dublin, will be the opportunity to mix with the rich and famous who took part in the race. Historical moment. The first Superkombat WGP of the year, host in Puerto Rico on March 26

Superkombat Fighting Championship proudly announces the expansion of World Grand Prix Series also to America starting from this season. The first live event outside of Europe is now scheduled for March 26th (16:00 Local Time and 21:00 European time, live on Eurosport) at The Roberto Clemente Coliseum from San Juan, Puerto Rico, in association with Miranda-Cortese & Sphere in alliance with Matias Entertainment.

In the last five years, Superkombat was the European leader in kickboxing from the point of television exposure, and from 2016, the promotion founded in 2011 by Eduard Irimia, will make its debut into the USA market and will provide premium combat sports events and attract new audience. In the main-event of the night, the Romanian super star Catalin Morosanu will face the currently ranked UK number 1 in the heavyweight division, Daniel "The Warrior" Sam.

"After months of negotiations, we are happy to announce that Superkombat events will be hosted also in the USA. For that, we have selected a strategic partner in our team, Mr. Richy Miranda – Cortese to support our efforts and who will develop the Superkombat concept in the whole American continent.”

The first USA event will be in Puerto Rico, but we will continue also in other countries from the American continent and now we are thinking about Colombia, Mexic and Dominican Republic. As we did in Europe, we will discover new heroes in America through the Superkombat academy system which will be developed all around the world. The event for March 26 will be called USA vs Rest of the world", said Mr. Irimia.

The new representative of Superkombat in USA, Mr. Miranda-Cortese orchestrates the first ever UFC event in Puerto Rico and out of the US, that made the Government create a new law allowing the event presentation locally. The initiative led to the creation of a new industry nonexistent until then. Also, he is well known for promotion of the massive events as Caribbean Baseball Series (200,000 persons) and El Dia Nacional de La Salsa (45,000 persons).

Superkombat Special Edition Turin results

Amazing crowd, amazing vibe. This was Pala Alpitour from Turin at Superkombat Special Edition. Eight from 11 fights finished in Round 1 with Bogdan Stoica vs Damian Garcia as Best Fight of the Night. In the main-event of the night, Catalin Morosanu won by Disqualification after Maurice Jackson refused to fight after the first punch. For this, the fighter was banned for life by Superkombat. The World Grand Prix Series will return on March 26 live on Eurosport.

Superkombat Special Edition in Turin, Italy, on December 12, with MMA bouts included

Superkombat Fighting Championship in association with Logistic East Food proudly announce a big surprise for the combat sport fans around the world. On December 12, at Pala Alpitour from Turin, a Superkombat Special Edition, which will include also 4 MMA fights.

LIVE - Superkombat WGP Final - Official Weigh-in at Phoenicia Grand Hotel



The official weigh-in and pre-fight press conference of Superkombat World Grand Prix Final 2015™ from Bucharest, Romania will take place Friday at 17:30 CEST (local hour) from inside of Phoenicia Grand Hotel (Alexandru Serbanescu, 85) in Bucharest. The card is headlined by the world title fight between the reigning champion Andrei Stoica and the Superkombat WGP 2014 champion Jorge Loren.


The participant lists include the Superkombat Fighting Championship® founder and president Eduard Irimia as well as all 24 competitors from Saturday's event including the World Grand Prix Heavyweight tournament contenders Nicolas Wamba, Roman Kriklya, Ivan Pavle and Tarik Khbabez. The special guests of the day is the Bulgarian actor Stanislav Ianevski, known for Harry Potter and Hostel 2.

The New Heroes card will be broadcasted live by Fight Box, Saturday from 18:30 CET (Central European Time) to 21:00 CET. The main card will be broadcasted live by Eurosport, from 21:00 CET (Central European Time) to 23:00 CET.
